Welcome to our 6th Class page in Scoil Íosa.
Our 6th class is made up of 15 kind, fun , thoughtful and hardworking students who are excellent role models for other classes.
Be sure to follow our learning journey here.

National Basketball Arena

Ten students were chosen from our class to represent Scoil Íosa in the Tallaght Garda Basketball Tournament. Five boys and five girls represented our school.  The ten students showed great team work and some strong skills! They worked really hard and gave it their best shot!

Innocent Grow Kits

This year we are taking part in the Innocent Grow Kit challenge.  We are growing peas, spinach and cress in our classroom.  We really enjoyed planting our seeds and are waiting and watching for the first signs of growth!

Hip Hop!

Nadia helped our class learn some hip hop dances earlier in the year.  We enjoyed the sessions and definitely picked up some moves!

Happy Halloween

6th class visit the home of St. Kevin in Glendalough.

On Thursday the 18th of May the boys and girls of 6th class along with the 6th class pupils in Scoil Aengusa Senior and Scoil Rose went to Glendalough.   This lovely retreat was organised by Fr. Ben and Mary Hendrick.  It was a chance for children to learn more about  St. Kevin, to reflect on the beauty of God's world and to prepare for their Confirmation.   Our guide Colette our brought us around the monastic site.  At each stopping point we had a reflection and said a prayer. Luckily for us the rain held off!  At the end of it all we had a lovely lunch of homemade soup and sandwiches served up to us by the volunteers in the  Brockagh resource Centre.  Boy were we hungry!!

Monet Inspired Flower Art
We had a very busy first term with lots of activities, trips, hard work and fun.

Gymnastics

Fifth and Sixth class began a ten week Gymnastic programme today and had great fun experimenting with new equipment under the watchful eye of coaches Ciaran and Fionn. Check out our moves!

Science Experiments

We worked in groups on our science experiments. Each group conducted a different experiment which they presented to the class. We hope you enjoy our presentations.
